Welcome to LawnFan. By using our mobile application and website, you agree to these terms of service. Please read them carefully before using our services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using LawnFan, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms of service. If you do not accept these terms, please do not use our services. You must be at least 13 years old to use LawnFan.

2. Service Description

LawnFan is a smart lawn care application that provides:

• Personalized lawn care advice tailored to your region and style (purist, pragmatic, or naturalist)
• Weather alerts and seasonal maintenance reminders
• Fertilization calendar and mowing guide
• Personalized AI advisor (Premium feature)
• Before/after photo tracking of your lawn (Premium feature)
• Fertilizer calculator with organic options (Premium feature)

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and all activities performed under your account. You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information during registration. LawnFan reserves the right to suspend or delete any account in case of violation of these terms.

4. Plans and Pricing

LawnFan offers two plans:

• Free Plan: access to basic features including weather tracking, seasonal calendar, basic alerts, mowing guide, and community tips
• Premium Plan: access to all features, including advanced weather, AI advisor, organic fertilizer calculator, photo tracking, and priority support. Available as monthly ($4.99/month) or annual ($39.99/year) subscription

Prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) and may be changed with 30 days' notice. Applicable taxes will be added at checkout.

5. Payment and Billing

Payments are securely processed by Stripe. Premium subscriptions are automatically renewed at the end of each billing period. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no prorated refunds are issued.

6. Free Trial

LawnFan offers a 14-day free trial for the Premium plan. At the end of the trial period, your account will be automatically converted to a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends. You will not be charged during the trial period.

7. User Content

By uploading photos or content to LawnFan, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use that content in connection with providing our services. You retain all ownership rights to your content. You agree not to upload illegal, offensive content or content that infringes on third-party rights.

8. Intellectual Property

LawnFan, its logo, design, and all original content (text, images, algorithms) are the property of LawnFan Inc. and are protected by Canadian and international intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

LawnFan provides lawn care advice for informational purposes only. We do not guarantee specific results. Weather and maintenance advice is based on third-party data and algorithms and may not be perfectly suited to every situation. LawnFan shall not be liable for any direct or indirect damages resulting from the use of our services, to the extent permitted by law.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated by email or in-app notification at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of LawnFan after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the modified terms.

11. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the app settings. LawnFan may terminate your access in case of violation of these terms, fraudulent activity, or service abuse. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our privacy policy.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Quebec.
